Life is a Highway

Life is a Highway

(Hmmm, yeah!)

Life's like a road that you travel on
When there's one day here an' the next day gone
Sometimes you bend, sometimes you stand
Sometimes you turn your back to the wind

There's a world outside every darkened door
Where blues won't haunt you anymore
Where brave are free an' lovers soar
Come ride with me to the distant shore

We won't hesitate
Ta' break down the garden gate
There's not much time left today, yeahea...

(Chorus:)
Life is a highway
I wanna ride it all night long
If you're going my way
Well I wanna drive it all night long

Through all these cities an' all these towns
It's in my blood an' it's all around
I love you now like I loved you then
This is the road an' these are the hands
From Mozambique to those Memphis nights
The Khyber Pass to Vancouver's lights

Knock me down an' back up again
You're in my blood I'm not a lonely man

There's no load I can't hold
Road so rough this I know
I'll be there when the light comes in
Just tell 'em we're survivors

(Chorus:)
Life is a highway
I wanna ride it all night long
If you're going my way
Well I wanna drive it all night long (all night long)

(Chorus:)
Life is a highway
I wanna ride it all night long
If you're going my way (you're goin' my way)
I wanna drive it all night long (all night long)

There was a distance between you an' I (between you and I)
A misunderstanding once But now we look it in the eye
Ooooohh, yeah!

There ain't no load that I can't hold
A road so rough, this I know
I'll be there when the light comes in
Tell 'em we're survivors

(Chorus:)
Life is a highway
I wanna ride it all night long (all night long, yeah)
If you're going my way
Well I wanna drive it all night long

(Chorus:)
Life is a highway (life is a highway)
I wanna ride it all night long
If you're going my way (you're goin' my way)
Well I wanna drive it all night long (all night long, yeah)

(Chorus:)
Life is a highway
I wanna ride it all night long (yeah, I wanna drive it all night long, baby)
If you're going my way (you're goin' my way)
Well I wanna drive it all night long (all night long...)

Real Gone

Real Gone

I'm American made but I like Chevrolet
My momma taught me wrong from right
I was born in the south Sometimes I have a big mouth
When I see something that I don't like

I gotta say it

Well we been driving this road
For a mighty long time
Payin' no mind to the signs
Well this neighborhood's changed
It's all been rearranged
We left that change somewhere behind

(Chorus)
Slow down we're gonna crash
Baby you were screamin' It's a blast, blast, blast
And look out baby you got your blinders on
Everybody's lookin' for a way to get real gone
Real gone
Real gone

But there's a new cat in town
He's got high paid friends
Thinks he's gonna change history
You think you know him so well
Yeah you think he's so swell
But he's just perpetuating prophecy

Come on now

(Chorus)
Slow down we're gonna crash
Baby you were screamin' It's a blast, blast, blast
And look out baby you got your blinders on
Everybody's lookin' for a way
To get real gone
Real gone
Real gone
Real gone

OH

Well you can say what you want
But you can't say it 'round here
'Cause they'll catch you and give you a whippin'
Well I believe I was right
When I said you were wrong
You didn't like the sound of that

Now did ya?

(Chorus)
Slow down we're gonna crash
Baby you were screamin' It's a blast, blast, blast
And look out baby you got your blinders on
Everybody's lookin' for a way to get real gone

Well here I come And I'm so not scared
Got my pedal to the metal
Got my hands in the air
Well look out you take your blinders off
Everybody's lookin' for a way to get real gone
Real Gone
Real Gone
Real Gone
Real Gone

MLTR - Someday

Someday
Michael Learns To Rock

In my search for freedom
And peace of mind
I've left the memories behind
Wanna start a new life
But it seems to be rather absurd
When I know the truth
Is that I always think of you

(Chorus)
Someday someway
Together we will be baby
I will take and you will take your time
We'll wait for our fate
Cos' nobody owns us baby
We can shake we can shake the rock

Try to throw the picture out of my mind
Try to leave the memories behind
Here by the ocean
Wave's carry voices from you
Do you know the truth
I am thinking of you too

(Chorus)
Someday someway
Together we will be baby
I will take and you will take your time
We'll wait for our fate
Cos' nobody owns us baby
We can shake we can shake the rock

The love we had together
Just fades away in time
And now you've got your own world
And I guess I've got mine
But the passion that you planted
In the middle of my heart
Is a passion that will never stop

(Chorus)
Someday someway
Together we will be baby
I will take and you will take your time
We'll wait for our fate
Cos' nobody owns us baby
We can shake we can shake the rock

(Chorus)
Someday someway
Together we will be baby
I will take and you will take your time
We'll wait for our fate
Cos' nobody owns us baby
We can shake we can shake the rock
